Current high school juniors and seniors interested in science and engineering should apply for the Minority Science and Engineering Improvement Program at Texas A&M International University.

The program starts Monday, June 1.

This program assists predominantly minority institutions, like TAMIU, in effecting long-range improvement in science and engineering education programs and increasing the flow of under-represented ethnic minorities, particularly minority women, into science and engineering careers.
This year’s MSEIP summer program will run for eight weeks, on the University campus, June 1-July 23, Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Participants receive math and science enrichment instruction and college preparation guidance as well as develop critical and analytical skills.

For more information, call 326-2701 or e-mail graciela.briseno@tamiu.edu.

MSEIP is funded by a grant through the U.S. Department of Education.

Journalists who need additional information or help with media requests and interviews should contact the Office of Public Relations, Marketing and Information Services at prmis@tamiu.edu
