TAMIU Professor Gets Outstanding Journal Achievement Award

Texas A&M International University A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business professor Dr. Ned Kock was announced a winner of IGI Global’s Outstanding Journal Achievement Award for his work as editor-in-chief of the International Journal of e-Collaboration (IJeC) during 2008.

The award is granted based on the timely submission of completed high quality materials, impact and visibility of the journal, and level of excellence required to advance the fields impacted by the journal. Kock was also recognized for his ability to gain high quality articles for publication, and acquire and maintain an effective and supportive editorial team.

Kock is a professor in the Division of International Business and Technology Studies. He holds degrees in electronics engineering (BEE), computer science (MS), and management information systems (PhD). He has authored several books and has been published in a number of journals.

In addition to his work with the International Journal of e-Collaboration, he is associate editor of the Journal of Systems and Information Technology, and associate editor for Information Systems of the journal IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication.
