Musical direction is by Brendan Townsend with choreography by TAMIU’s Bede Leyendecker, chair of the department of fine and performing arts.

Performances are Thursday, Oct. 15 , Friday, Oct. 16 and Saturday, Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. A Sunday, Oct. 18 matinee will be offered at 3 p.m.

For ticket information, contact the Laredo Theater Guild International at 956.319.8610.

The Laredo Theater Guild International, in cooperation with TAMIU, is presenting Dale Wasserman’s musical adaptation of his non-musical teleplay as part of the University’s 40th Anniversary Celebration. Inspired by the 17th Century masterpiece Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes, it details the adventures of Don Quixote de la Mancha and his weary "squire," Sancho Panza.

The winner of five Tony Awards, Man of La Mancha has been revived on Broadway four times, performed around the world, and was the basis for a popular movie starring Peter O’Toole and Sophia Loren (1972.)
