Piano Recital Tonight at TAMIU

Guest pianist, Dr. Terry Lynn Hudson, is set to perform at the TAMIU Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) Recital Hall Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.

The evening’s program includes music composed by Maurice Ravel, Joseph Haydn and Frédéric Chopin.

Aa native of Maryland, Dr. Hudson performs in recitals as a soloist, duo pianist and accompanist in Europe, Central America and throughout the U.S. She has a special affinity for French piano literature and contemporary ensemble works.

Hudson has competed in and won top prizes in competitions sponsored by the International Recording Competition of the American College of Musicians, Alexandria Symphony Guild, Virginia Music Teachers Association, Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity and the Scholarship for Scholars organization.

She earned degrees in piano performance from James Madison University (B.M.), the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (M.M.) and a D.M.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.

Hudson teaches applied and class piano at Baylor University.
