TAMIU Chamber Singers, LCC Mixed Choir Concert Monday at LCC

Make plans to attend the lunchtime show, Spring 2010 Concert, performed by the Texas A&M International University Chamber Singers and the Laredo Community College Mixed Choir Monday, April 26 at noon in the Cantú Veterans’ Memorial Chapel at the LCC main campus, West End Washington Street.

Admission is free of charge and open to the public.

“The varied program will consist of challenging a cappella music, opening with Paul Manz’s captivating ‘E’en So, Lord Jesus, Quickly Come’ followed by John Rutter’s delightful set of songs entitled ‘Five Childhood Lyrics,’ said Dana Crabtree, director, TAMIU Chamber Singers and TAMIU instructor of voice and music.

The program will end with a set of vocal jazz arrangements—“A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square,” “Java Jive,” “Vincent,” and “Route 66.”

Dr. Joseph Crabtree, instructor of music and chair of the LCC performing arts department, directs the LCC Mixed Choir.
