Fiesta de Excelencia Educativa at the Laredo Civic Center Sept. 25

Join the P-16 Council for Educational Excellence at the 2010 Fiesta De Excelencia Educativa for an excellent opportunity to see what resources and information are available to help parents and children succeed in obtaining a higher education. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Laredo Civic Center.

This event is free and open to the public.

The Fiesta will be promoting the benefits of education, at all levels, to primarily Spanish speaking parents and guardians and all children in the community.

Representatives from United Independent School District, Laredo I.S.D., Texas A&M International University, Laredo Community College and P-16 Council will be available to inform parents and students about the importance of higher education.

The P-16 Council, through collaboration with public education and the business community, provides leadership and support for students (pre-kinder through college) in the South Texas region.
