‘High Five’ Art Exhibit Continues at TAMIU

An exhibit featuring work done by MFA students from Dallas’ Southern Methodist University (SMU) is on display through Nov. 18 at Texas A&M International University’s Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Gallery.

Featured in the exhibit is the work of rising artist Bernardo Diaz, a TAMIU College of Arts and Sciences department of fine and performing arts graduate.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Diaz was born in Rochelle, Ill., and raised in Eagle Pass. In addition to his B.A. from TAMIU, Diaz earned a master’s in art from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi and completed a “Les Subsistance Residency” in Lyon, France.

His work has been exhibited in many cities around Texas and Piedras Negras, Coahuila, México.

Diaz received a full scholarship to attend SMU.
