TAMIU Hosts ‘College Night’ Wednesday, Oct. 27

High school juniors and seniors planning to continue their education should make plans to attend the annual College Night at Texas A&M International University, Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 7 – 9 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.

Admission is free and open to the public.

“We will have representatives from more than 27 universities and colleges from throughout the state,” said Juan G. García Jr., director, Office of Recruitment and School Relations
Among the universities and programs represented are: ACT Inc., Art Institute, Huston-Tillotson University, Laredo Community College, Our Lady of the Lake University, Sam Houston State University, Schreiner University, St. Edward’s University, St. Mary’s University.

Also sending representatives are: Tarleton University, Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, Texas A&M – Kingsville, Texas A&M University, Texas Army National Guard, Texas State University, Texas Tech University, Texas Women’s University and Tufts University.

Also attending are University of Houston, University of Houston – Victoria, University of Incarnate Word, University of North Texas, University of Texas, University of Texas Health Science Center Regional Campus, University of Texas Pan-American, University of Texas Permian Basin and West Texas A&M University.

García advises students have copies of their high school transcripts handy and lots of questions.

“It’s the best time for us to clarify any questions students might have about admissions, programs, degrees, financial aid and scholarship opportunities available at different institutions,” explained García.
