Texas A&M International University students can now keep track of extracurricular campus activities with a new online program, CollegiateLink.

The TAMIU Office of Student Affairs recently acquired the program to help student groups get organized.

“The program makes it easier than ever to get involved at the University. Students can start an organization or request to be part of one. It also helps organizations keep track of their involvement at the University, which will ultimately produce a co-curricular transcript which may be used to supplement an academic transcript,” explained Miguel Treviño, associate director, Office of Student Affairs.

He added that the program is open to all TAMIU students interested in becoming involved and making a difference.

Current and prospective students should visit tamiu.collegiatelink.net for more information on the ways to get involved on campus. Current students should log in by using their TAMIU credentials and creating a profile.

“It makes it easier for students to document their involvement at the University, one of the key components employers look for when evaluating résumés and prospective employees,” Treviño noted.

The new system will allow students and the Office of Student Affairs to be more environmentally friendly by cutting down on paper because most documents submitted for approval will now be approved electronically.

“We want to make it easier for TAMIU students to enhance their organizations and spread the word about the opportunities available to become involved here,” he said.

For more information, contact Treviño at mtrevino@tamiu.edu or 326.2280 or visit offices in Student Center, room 226.

University hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
