TAMIU Organ Recital Series Set for Nov. 14

Austin-based organist Dr. Eun Joo Chung is the next featured artist at the upcoming Texas A&M International University Organ Recital Series Sunday, Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Dr. Chung’s program includes music by Cesar Franck, J. S. Bach, Dieterich Buxtehude, Samuel Scheidt, Joe Utterback and Jean Langlais.

For nearly seven years, Chung has been the organist at Hope Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas.

She also appears regularly as guest organist with various musical groups in Austin and performed the Saint-Saens’ organ symphony live on KMFA Classical 89.5 with the University of Texas (UT) at Austin Symphony under the direction of Maestro Peter Bay, conductor, Austin Symphony Orchestra. Chung also helped create the Northwest Austin Organ Series.

Chung received a Doctor of Music Arts from UT Austin.
