TAMIU Dominates All-Heartland Conference Men's Soccer Team

Texas A&M International University’s men’s soccer team has capped a landmark season by having seven players named to the 2010 All-Heartland Conference team.  The Dustdevils place more players on the All-Conference team than any other school after earning TAMIU’s first Heartland Conference title in any sport by finishing 7-1 in league play.

Senior defender Soamy Bautista, senior forward Leonardo Ramos and junior midfielder Luís Salas were named to the first team with junior defender Alejandro De la Fuente, senior defender Julian Hierro, junior Kristian Quintana and junior Abel Villavicencio earning second-team honors.

Bautista ends his career as a three-time All-Heartland selectee and Hierro as a two-time All-Conference pick.
