High School Camp Begins at TAMIU Aug. 8

Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) Binational Center will host its High School Camp Session 2 for students in grades 9th – 12th Aug. 8- 18, Monday-Thursday.

This High School Camp focuses on several components high school students should be concentrated on this summer.

The SAT and College Prep Camp will feature materials covered in the SAT, how to begin researching and applying for colleges, FAFSA, and tips on staying focused in school. The camp schedule includes classes in analytical writing, college tips, math, and activity and sport.

Registration fee is $400.

Participants will also have the opportunity to visit various locations on campus such as the Student Center, Lamar Bruni Vergara Science Center and Planetarium, and the Residential Learning Community.

Camp goers will break for lunch at noon. Parents have the option of loading lunch funds on an ID card, picking them up for lunch, or providing a sack lunch. A snack will be provided at 3 p.m.

Registration is not complete until the Binational Center receives signed documents including a waiver, model release form, and emergency contact.

University summer office hours are now in effect with offices open Mondays-Thursdays, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. – noon.
