‘College Night’ at TAMIU Oct. 26

Meet with college representatives from Texas and beyond at “Laredo College Night” Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. in the Texas A&M International University’s Student Center Ballroom.

Admission is free and open to the public. High school juniors and seniors are strongly encouraged to attend.

“This is a once a year opportunity for high school students to meet with university and college representatives from many institutions and explore their different options,” said Juan G. García Jr., director, Office of Recruitment and School Relations.

“This is their chance to ask any questions or concerns that they might have about admissions, costs, housing, student life, etc.,” García stressed.

Students who attend are encouraged to have copies of their high school transcripts handy.

Representatives from universities will be available to answer questions about admissions, programs, degrees, financial aid and scholarship opportunities.

“College Night” participants will have an opportunity to plan their future and possibly win a scholarship or other door prizes.

Among the universities and colleges represented are: Abilene Christian University, ACT SWR Educational Services, Cisco College, Laredo Community College, Our Lady of the Lake University, Sam Houston State University, Schreiner University, Southwestern Assemblies of God University, St. Edward’s University, St. Mary’s University and Sul Ross University.

Also sending representatives: Tarleton State University, Texas A&M at Galveston, Texas A&M International University, Texas A&M Kingsville, Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, Texas Lutheran University, Texas State Technical College Harlingen, Texas State University, Texas Tech University, Texas Wesleyan University, University of Texas at Austin, Tufts University.

Also attending: University of Houston, University of Mary-Hardin Baylor, University of North Texas, University of Texas – Pan American, University of Texas – Permian Basin, University of the Incarnate Word, UT Health Science Center Regional Campus, UT Health Science Center San Antonio.
