TAMIU Government, Social Services Fair Oct. 11

Shake the dust off your suit for the upcoming Government and Social Services Career Fair. The event, hosted by the Texas A&M International University Office of Career Services, is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Center (SC).

The free event is open to all TAMIU students and alumni and the Laredo community.

Participants will have an opportunity to meet with recruiters and get information on employment and internships. Business casual dress is recommended.

TAMIU students and alumni can schedule an appointment to have their resumes reviewed by the Office of Career Services. Call 326-HIRE (4473) to set up an appointment.

The agenda for the Career Fair is as follows:

10 – 11:30 a.m.
Student Center 231: The U.S Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will conduct a panel discussion, “Protecting Our Agricultural Assets.” Sponsored by the TAMIU College of Arts and Sciences.

1 – 4 p.m.
Student Center rotunda: 2011 Government and Social Services Career Fair.

The next recruiting events are: Wednesday, Oct. 26, 1 - 4 p.m., SC 114, U.S. Border Patrol; Thursday, Nov. 3 and 10, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Student Center rotunda, U.S. Border Patrol.
