Deadline Nearing for TAMIU Bruni Vergara, Benavides Z. Academic Conference

The deadline for Texas A&M International University students to submit materials for consideration for the yearly Lamar Bruni Vergara & Guillermo Benavides Z. Academic Conference is Monday, March 19.

Submission and participation in the Conference is free to all TAMIU undergraduate and graduate students.

The Conference is the University’s competitive forum for scholarly and creative activity, providing all students with an opportunity to present academic research or full-fledged original scholarship, art and performances for the TAMIU community and the community at large. It takes place April 19-20.

It provides a singular opportunity for recognition of the excellent research and scholarship of TAMIU undergraduate and graduate students, with cash prizes for best presentations in their disciplines. An Award Ceremony and Buffet Dinner conclude the Conference.

Last year, over 200 graduate and undergraduate students participated in the Conference, which is hosted by the Office of Graduate Studies and Research and generously supported by the Lamar Bruni Vergara Trust and Guillermo Benavidez Z.
