Steinway Series at TAMIU Sunday Presents Pianist Daneshpour

Internationally acclaimed pianist Sara Daneshpour will perform Sunday, March 25 at 3 p.m. at Texas A&M International University’s Center for the Fine and Performing Arts’ Recital Hall as part of the University’s Steinway Series.

The Concert is free of charge and open to the public.

Daneshpour’s afternoon concert will include selections from Haydn, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, Scarlatti, Chopin and Prokofiev.

Daneshpour, of Washington, D.C., was the First Prize, Gold Medal and Audience Award Winner at the VI International Russian Music Piano Competition and the Second Prize Winner in the William Kappell International Piano Competition. She also medalled at Barcelona’s Maria Canals International Piano Competition and joined the roster of Astral Artists as the winner of its 2010 National Auditions.

The Steinway Series is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Fernando A. Salinas Charitable Trust, Ann and George Neel and Housing & Residence Life at TAMIU.

The next performer in the Steinway Series will be Anthony Tobin on Sunday, April 15 at 3 p.m.
