The Conference is graciously supported by the Lamar Bruni Vergara Trust and Guillermo Benavides Z.

It provides an opportunity for recognition of the excellent research and scholarship of TAMIU undergraduate and graduate students, with cash prizes for best presentations in their disciplines.

The closing ceremony will be provided by Dr. Haibo Wang, associate professor of decision science, TAMIU A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business Division of International Business and Technology Studies, and 2011 University Scholar of the Year recipient.

Dr. Wang will present “Internet and Social Networks for Scientists.” The presentation will discuss the impact of the Internet on scientific research and how social networks for scientists make academia more efficient and interdisciplinary.
