University Sets 14th Annual University Life Awards Saturday

Approximately 300 students are expected to attend the 17th Annual University Life Awards at Texas A&M International University Saturday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom Room 203.   

The University Life Awards, one of the longest standing traditions at TAMIU, recognizes outstanding leaders in the University community through various awards categories, including Outstanding Community Service, Freshman Excellence and Leader of the Year.

One student will be selected to receive the Senator Judith Zaffirini Scholarship and Leadership Award. Recipients of this Award exemplify a commitment to academic success, leadership and service.

This event is open to members of recognized student organizations on campus and serves as a celebration of accomplishments made throughout the academic year. Past recipients include alumni who are doctors, lawyers and educators.
