Wednesday, June 20: The TAMIU-SBDC, in conjunction with the Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid: Legal Assistance to Microenterprise Project (L.A.M.P.) will provide a seminar designed to assist potential and existing business owners with legal issues. This free of charge seminar is scheduled from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., classroom location will be provided with registration confirmation. Andrea Beleno Harrington, staff attorney, will conduct the presentation. This presentation will cover these and other topics, giving participants a greater understanding of the legal issues facing their business.

Thursday, June 21: Internet Marketing Workshop will be offered from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., classroom location will be provided with registration confirmation. This hands-on workshop spans the entire process of building a simple website from the ground up, with plenty of pointers and reference material. Tuesday, June 26: How to Create a Digital Business Card (Website) for Your Business, a hands-on workshop from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in TAMIU’s Dr. Billy F. Cowart Hall, room 116. Today, entrepreneurs are lucky to have so many ways to be active online: blogs, social media profiles, and more. But every business needs an online “home base,” a place to call your own. That home base is your website. It’s your welcome mat, your window display for visitors on the internet. At this informative hands-on workshop instructor Steve Gutierrez, Director of the Azteca Economic Development & Preservation Corporation, will cover the steps on how to create a website. By the end of the session, you will walk out with your very own website!
