TAMIU Receives Five Star Service Award

Last week, the Laredo Chamber of Commerce Customer Service Committee hosted its Annual Five Star Service Awards recognizing local businesses that have gone that extra mile to provide outstanding customer service.

For the second consecutive year Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) received the Award in the Educational Services category for providing a learning environment built on a solid academic foundation in the arts and sciences.

Other award winners included Laredo Federal Credit Union, U.S. Border Patrol, Laredo Specialty Hospital, Spring Hill Suites by Marriot, Children’s Advocacy Center, Manpower, Chick-fil-A North Laredo, Edible Arrangements, and H-E-B Grocery. International Bank of Commerce was awarded the Hall of Fame Award for multiple consecutive Five Star Service Awards.

Customer Service Committee chairperson Cassandra Wheeler opened the ceremony held at the Laredo Country Club. Laredo Chamber of Commerce chairperson Wilfredo Martínez, Jr. provided welcoming remarks.  Martínez recognized the nominees for excellence in customer service and commended them for helping to create a service-oriented culture in Laredo.
