TAMIU’s ‘Wicked Wellness Week’ Encourages Healthy Students

The four-day Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) Wicked Wellness Week starts Monday, Oct. 29 with “Blood Sucking Monday: Blood Drive” and ends with “What You Don’t Know Can Haunt You: Health Awareness Fair” Friday, Nov. 2.

Wicked Wellness Week is four days of activities for TAMIU students designed to help bring awareness about staying healthy and making healthy choices.

“The week brings together different ways for students to remain healthy and learn about the different services available to them,” explained Miguel Treviño, associate director, Office of Student Affairs.

The Campus Activity Board (CAB), Division of Student Success, Office of Student Affairs, Student Health Services and Student Counseling and Disability Services

The schedule is as follows:

Monday, Oct. 29, Student Center Rotunda from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., “Blood Sucking Monday: Blood Drive.”

Tuesday, Oct. 30, State Senator Judith Zaffirini Student Success Center 101 from 12. to 6:30 p.m., “Tales from the Crypt: Doctor’s Panel.”

Wednesday, Oct. 31, Student Center Patio and Lamar Bruni Vergara Memorial Garden from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m., “Halloween Oksoberfest.”

Thursday, Nov. 1, Student Center 120 from 12 to 1 p.m., “Don’t be Spooked by Disabilities.”

Friday, Nov. 2, Student Center Rotunda from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., “What You Don’t Know Can Haunt You: Health Awareness Fair.”
