There is still time to enroll for Texas A&M International University College of Arts and Sciences graduate criminal justice online five-week courses. Three new five-week graduate courses have also been added this Spring 2013, giving graduate students the opportunity to complete their degree sooner and undergraduates a chance to take new classes.

“The Criminal Justice Program made some changes to the Master of Science in Criminal Justice Program in Fall 2012. The new format should allow graduate students to complete their degree in less than 2 years,” said Dr. Claudia E. San Miguel, Program director.

Undergraduates or anyone with a bachelor’s degree considering pursuing a master’s degree should be aware stemwork classes are no longer required to enter the graduate program. In addition, the previous GRE requirement for graduate criminal justice admission has been lifted.

The Program is entirely online, which allows working students the flexibility to complete coursework while working full-time or part-time.

The new courses added are: CRIJ 5330, Seminar in Criminological Theory (Jan. 22 – Feb. 25); CRIJ 5320, Advanced Methods of Social Research (Feb. 26 – April 1); CRIJ 5340, CyberCrime (April 2 – May 6).

Students must enroll for classes before Monday, Jan. 28, including classes starting Feb. 26 or April 2.
