Online graduate degree programs at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) offer a new option for professionals wishing to further their education on a convenient and flexible schedule.

TAMIU now offers six complete online graduate degrees:  the MBA in English, MBA in Spanish, Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, Master of Public Administration, Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Master of Arts in Language, Literature and Translation.

Dr. Jeffrey Brown, dean of Graduate Studies and Research, said that the programs are offered completely online, which means students do not need to commute to class to attend lectures each day.

“If you are a working professional, you can choose to pursue a master’s degree online and graduate within a relatively short time without having to make modifications to your work schedule,” Dr. Brown said, noting, “Students can also review class materials at their own pace and complete assignments under a flexible schedule.”

Adults with a master’s degree or higher can earn an annual salary four times more than those with less than a high school diploma, he said.

“At TAMIU, we also offer financial aid so that you can complete your graduate program,” Brown said, “The Lamar Bruni Vergara Educational Fund, for example, provides scholarships, fellowships and assistantships. Other scholarships and grants are also available through the Office of Financial Aid.”

Registration for online graduate programs is now open. Registration deadline is Tuesday, April 30,  but applications are accepted thereafter with a late registration fee through Tuesday, Sept. 3.
