Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) employees will spend part of the morning and the entire afternoon at the University’s annual TAMIU Enrichment Day, Friday, May 24 starting at 10:00 a.m.

While University offices remain open, staff and services will be greatly reduced.

The annual event provides development sessions to all University employees in a relaxed and fun-filled atmosphere.

The University hosts a keynote speaker and recognizes employees for Employee Service Awards, Outstanding Employee Awards, degree completion, State employee charitable contributions, and All4TAMIU contributions.

Dr. Rick Rigsby, a longtime former Texas A&M University award-winning professor, character coach and chaplain for the Aggies football team, will provide the keynote address. Dr. Rigsby now lectures worldwide on leadership principles.  He was the keynote speaker at the very first TAMIU Enrichment Day in 2000.

All TAMIU full-time employees attend afternoon sessions covering topics such as healthy lifestyle habits, leadership, excellent customer service, safety compliance, retirement, cash management, managing one’s online presence, and energy-saving tips.

The University’s Office of Human Resources coordinates the event. For more information, contact them at 956.326.2365, visit offices in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 158 or click on tamiu.edu.

University office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
