TAMIU Resumes Regular Schedule for Fall

Texas A&M International University offices returned to its regular schedule Thursday, Aug. 8.

Regular office hours are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library will maintain its regular schedule, Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – midnight; Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sunday, noon –midnight, through Thursday, Aug. 15. The Killam Library will be open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 16 and closed Saturday, Aug. 17 and Sunday, Aug. 18.

During the intersession, Monday, Aug. 19 – Tuesday, Aug. 27, the Library will be open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and closed Saturday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 25. The Library will resume regular hours Wednesday, Aug. 28. For more information, visit library.tamiu.edu

The Offices of the University Registrar, Admissions, Recruitment, Campus Card Services, Bursar, Counseling and Disability Services, Financial Aid, Graduate Studies, and Student Health will be open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Starting Monday, Aug. 12, office hours for these offices will be Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

The first day of classes for Fall 2013 is Wednesday, Aug. 28.

TAMIU offers 1,170 classes onsite or online this Fall and 74 percent of TAMIU faculty hold doctoral degrees.

New students and first-time freshmen are required to participate in Dusty Camp Orientation. The last Dusty Camp is scheduled Monday, Aug. 12 – Tuesday, Aug. 13. Sign up online at http://www.tamiu.edu/studentaffairs/newstudent.shtml

Transfer students are also required to attend orientation. Register for the Dustdevil Transition scheduled for Friday, Aug. 16 or Friday, Aug. 23.

Graduate student orientation is Monday, Aug. 26 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. To RSVP or for more information, call 326.3020.
