TAMIU Hosts Laredo College Night Oct. 16

High school juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing a degree in higher education will have an opportunity to meet with college representatives from Texas and beyond at “Laredo College Night” Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) Senator Judith Zaffirini Student Success Center (ZSC).

Admission is free and open to students and their parents.

“These types of events take place in all regions of the state. It is important that our students embrace the opportunity to pursue a degree in higher education by visiting with the various representatives from a variety of institutions,” said Scheiby Fisher, director, TAMIU Office of Recruitment and School Relations.

Students are encouraged to have their high school transcripts handy.

Representatives from universities will be available to answer questions about admissions, programs, degrees, financial aid and scholarship opportunities.

Students and their parents will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from: ACT Educational Services, Laredo Community College, Our Lady of the Lake University, Sam Houston State University, Schreiner University, Southwestern University, St. Edward’s University, St. Mary’s University, Tarleton State University, Texas A&M University, Texas A&M – Kingsville, Texas A&M – Corpus Christi and TAMIU.

Other university and college advisors onsite include: Texas State Technical College – Harlingen, Texas State University, Tufts University, Texas Tech University, University of Texas at Austin, University of Dallas, University of Houston, University of North Texas, University of Texas – Pan American, University of Texas – Permian Basin, University of Texas – San Antonio, University of the Incarnate Word, and the UT Health Science Center – San Antonio.
