TAMIU Acting Studio Class Brings Laughs with ‘The Nerd’ Nov. 1-3

Considered one of the funniest plays, “The Nerd” hits the stage at Texas A&M International University Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. in the Center for the Performing Arts Theatre.

General admission is $5 and free for TAMIU students with a valid ID.

The play is presented by the TAMIU College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Fine and Performing Arts Acting Studio Class.

“The Nerd,” a play in one-act, tells the story of an aspiring young architect, William, who tells the story of the debt he owes to a fellow ex-GI he never met, but who saved William’s life in Vietnam. When William finally meets the man who saved his life, he is not what William expected. Hilarity ensues.

The play was written by Larry Shue and presented in one act. It is produced in arrangement with the Dramatist Play Service.

General admission is $5 and free for students with a valid ID.
