TAMIU Presents Business & Hospitality Job Fair, Prep Sessions

Job seekers in the community as well as Texas A&M International University  (TAMIU) students and alumni are invited to attend the University’s 2014 Business & Hospitality Career Fair Thursday, March 6 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Student Center. Fair prep sessions began Feb. 4.

The free event is organized by the Office of Career Services and designed to improve job seekers’ marketability as they begin or transition between careers.

Celina Maniece, TAMIU director of employer relations, said that while the actual job fair will be on March 6, participants are welcome to attend several job fair prep sessions that are taking place in February and March.

“We invite everyone who is seeking a job or is considering switching careers to take advantage of both the prep sessions and the Fair to learn how they can start or enhance their career and network with employers in the business and hospitality industry,” Maniece said.

Career Fair Prep and Fair dates, activities and locations follow:

Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., Student Center 114 – Career Café: Networking.

Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., Student Center 114 – Career Café:

 How to Create a Resume.

Tuesday, March 4, Wednesday, March 5, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Student Center 114 – Resume Reviews.

Thursday, March 6, from 1 – 4 p.m., Student Center Rotunda 1st and 2nd floor: Job Fair.
