Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) volleyball will begin offering its Junior Dusty Volleyball Training Camp this spring. The camp will be geared toward any 6-12 year old interested in growing within the sport through competition, practice and education from NCAA Division II coaches and players.

"In a continuing effort to service the volleyball  community of Laredo, we have decided to launch the Junior Dusty Volleyball Training Camp," TAMIU head volleyball coach Marlon Sano said, "Several people have approached us about educating grade school age athletes interested in the sport, so this camp will present a unique combination of practice one day a week and competition one day week. We consulted with a number of similar organizations and found a model that will be an enjoyable experience for the players and families.”

The camp runs from March 18 through May 10 – totaling 16 days of activities. The camp will meet twice a week, on Tuesdays from 5-6 p.m. for a practice session and on Saturdays at a time to be determined for games.

The Junior Dusty Volleyball Training Camp is for grade school age athletes wanting to learn and grow in the sport of volleyball.

"We will practice on Tuesday evenings from 5-6 and play on Saturdays," Sano said. "The cost will include a shirt and picture, in addition to the practice and play."

The camp cost is  $120 per participant. Participants can register at https://info.tamiu.edu/summercamps/register.aspx?campID=94
