A special yoga class focused on wellness, stress management and increased flexibility will be offered as part of a non-credit community course offering at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) this Fall.

Led by TAMIU faculty member Dr. Jyotsna Mukherji, the class is part of TAMIU’s Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Young Arts Program.  It  is open to the community, designed for teens to adults and offered at a gentle pace.

“This class is dedicated to a yoga practice focused on wellness, managing daily stress and gradually increasing flexibility,” Dr. Mukherji explained.

“It would also be appropriate for any individual who has just experienced a change in lifestyle, such as career switch or retirement, and who is interested in beginning a gradual path to bettered health and wellness,” she added.

The class will meet once weekly, every Thursday from 5:30-6:30 p.m., beginning Thursday, Sept. 4 in CFPA Studio 123 of the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts. Cost is $45/month. Please dress in comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat, available at local stores.
