Monday, Nov. 3- Friday, Nov. 7, Texas A&M International University will celebrate TAMIU junior and senior students with a week-long event focused on completing their undergraduate degree.

The event is dubbed “Finish Strong @ TAMIU” and features daily events including mixers, dedicated information fairs and special presentations from all Colleges an Schools across campus.

Dr. Kevin Lindberg, TAMIU associate provost, said the Celebration notes a special time in the life of the TAMIU junior and senior students.

“Traditionally, the junior year signals a shift into students’ major area of study, along with new opportunities for internships, research and study abroad.  Of course, the senior year is the final run to the end goal:  graduation. This event is aimed at providing a week-long forum for exploration of the junior and senior year to help keep students laser-focused on their end goal, and to make them aware of support and opportunities available and, of course, to celebrate their accomplishments to date,” Dr. Lindberg explained.

This is the first year the event has been offered.

It opens Monday, Nov. 3 with kickoff events at both 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., at the Student Center Patio and Killam Library Colonnade respectively.
