Fun activities for children and families wait this holiday season at  the Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium.

As part of its seasonal Open House, the Planetarium will show a free admission pre-screening of its brand new show, “Cosmic Adventures” every 30 minutes from 1 – 4:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22. It will also offer free arts and crafts as well as face painting for kids.

The Open House is free and open to the public.

Cosmic Adventures is a show for families that takes audiences on a roller coaster ride from the moon through the universe, our galaxy and solar system. The high-speed adventures immerse the audience in some of the most amazing sites in the universe.

Peter Davis, Planetarium director, said that the pre-screening will serve as an opportunity for those in the community to visit the Planetarium and enjoy the holiday season with their children in a full dome with 3D effects.

“We welcome everyone to visit this Planetarium Open House, enjoy the pre-screening and the holiday spirit,” Davis said.
