TAMIU Business Professors Win Top Award

Three Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business (ARSSB) faculty members earned second place in “Best Research Paper Awards – Center of Outstanding Research” for work presented to leading experts in global business and economics at the annual conference of the International Academy of Business and Economics (IABE) in Las Vegas recently. More than 400 universities, colleges and schools presented scholarly work.

Dr. Kamal D. Parhizgar, professor, Sanchez School of Business International Business and Technology Studies, and his daughter, Dr. Fuzhan F. Parhizgar (‘03 BS), University of Nevada School of Medicine, Las Vegas, presented “International Ethical Commercialization of Medicine in Healthcare, Medical Care, Pain Care, Palliative Care, Hospice Care, and Osteopathic Care Systems.” The article appears in the Journal of Academy of Business and Economics, Volume 14, No. 4: 85-94.

Dr. George R. Clarke, School of Business BBVA Compass Distinguished Chair of International Economics, ARSSB Division of International Banking and Finance Studies, presented “Firm Performance in the West Bank and Gaza.”

Dr. Rolando Peña-Sánchez, School of Business associate professor, International Business and Technology Studies, presented, “Facebook: The Leader Among the Top 500 U.S.A. Companies in the Most Competitive Business Sectors During 2012” and “The ISO 9001 Certification Growth Rates of Business Companies in U.S.A., México and Canada during 1993 – 2013.”

IABE is a leading global organization of academic scholars, business executives, students, and public policy makers in business, economics and related fields.
