TAMIU Graduate Business, Public Administration Programs Get Rankings
Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) Online Master of Public Administration (MPA) program and Master of Business Administration (MBA) program have been recently ranked among the Top 50 in the nation for two different categories in a national survey conducted by TopManagementDegrees.com
TAMIU’s MPA program ranked No. 31 among the Top 50 Online Master’s Degrees in Public Administration 2015 category.
The MBA program ranked No. 18 among the Top 50 Most Affordable MBAs 2014 category.
According to the site, the data for the rankings was derived from the most recent and publicly available sources, including The Princeton Review, U.S. News and World Report, National Center for Education and Statistics, and PayScale.
The rankings, according to the site, combine the results of two of the most influential higher education rankings in order to give a well-rounded ranking of the programs available. The data was additionally calculated with each school’s average graduate school tuition and average early career salary to factor in a return on investment (ROI) on the program.
In addition, for the MPA category, each school was ranked on an accreditation from the NASPAA (The Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs and Administration). NASPAA is the highest recognized global accrediting body of master’s degree programs in the fields of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration.
Dr. Timothy Dolan, TAMIU MPA program director, attributed much of the TAMIU Online MPA program success to a dedicated program faculty who are models of professionalism and service that the program seeks to instill in its participants.
“Another critical factor comes from a complete makeover of the program website,” Dolan said, “Ranking organizations draw almost exclusively from information they get from online sources, not the least of which are the home pages of programs such as ours. We have been continually improving our site over the past several months and will continue to do so in order to provide that critical good first impression that visitors will get from a well-designed page.”
Dr. Steve Sears, A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business dean, said the School is honored to be recognized.
“We are honored to be recognized in this ranking as one the Top 50 Most Affordable MBA programs by Top Management Degrees,” Dr. Sears said, “The A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business provides its students with MBA options in two languages and is available both onsite and online. Students can pursue our degree options both on a full-time and on a part-time basis. We are always looking for more and improved ways to provide a quality graduate education to the students we serve.”
