New TAMIU MAT Degree Info Session May 7

Those with a bachelor’s degree have a new option on their path to becoming teachers with a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) offered by Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) College of Education.

An information session will be held Thursday, May 7 from 4:30 – 7 p.m. in the Senator Judith Zaffirini Student Success Center, 101A.

The program begins Fall 2015.

The MAT includes 30 credit hours of coursework and a six-credit clinical semester equivalent to student teaching. Four Alternative Certification Program courses are included in the degree and most teaching certificates offered by TAMIU are available through the MAT.
