TAMIU Rec Sports Camp Opens Summer Registration

Kids interested in exercise, fun and learning this summer can now sign up for Texas A&M International University’s Summer Recreational Sports Camp.

Designed for ages 5-13, the Summer Rec Sports Camp, held at TAMIU every year, takes place June 8-25 (Session I) and July 6-23 (Session II). Cost per session is $240.
 Camp attendees will enjoy pre-planned activities administered by camp counselors. Activities will include word of the day activity and discussions, recreational games, Zumba Fitness activities, and Planetarium visits.

“Our goal is to help children develop social, physical and healthy conscious attitudes in a positive and cooperative atmosphere,” explained Roberto Garza, TAMIU’s associate director of Recreational Sports.

Participants should arrive each day ready to participate with appropriate footware including sneakers and tennis shoes and wear shorts and a T-shirt. Snacks will be provided daily.
