19th Annual Trade Conference Continues at TAMIU

Experts in business will share their knowledge at the Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business Center for the Study of Western Hemispheric Trade 19th Annual Western Hemispheric Trade Conference underway through Friday, April 17.

The Conference kicked off Wednesday with Dr. Diana Villiers Negroponte, Public Policy Scholar, Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C., who presented “Opportunities and Challenges for México Today.”

Conference participants have the opportunity to hear from business experts, including Dr. Stephen Haber, Peter and Helen Bing Senior Fellow, Hoover Institution, Stanford University, and Dr. James R. Barth, Lowder Eminent Scholar in Finance, Auburn University.

Dr. Haber presents “The Causes and Consequences of Foreign Bank Entry in México” Thursday, April 16 at noon in the SC Ballroom.

Dr. Barth will present “U.S. Financial Crises: Regulatory Failures and Inappropriate Reforms” Friday, April 17 at 12:30 p.m. in the SC Ballroom.

Tickets to the luncheon keynote presentations are $20 per day.
