TAMIU’s ‘Dustdevil Week’ Covers Transition, Set June 8 - 13

Be prepared to make a smooth transition to life and education at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) by making plans to attend Dustdevil Week which will be held Monday, June 8 – Saturday, June 13.

All graduating high school seniors and transferring students are highly encouraged to attend this free event.

“Dustdevil Week was created with the goal to make the transition to your local University as smooth as possible,” said Rafael Contreras, Student Success coordinator.

Dustdevil Week will be celebrated in the Senator Judith Zaffirini Student Success Center (ZSC) Monday, June 8 – Thursday, June 11 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday, June 12 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturday, June 13.

Graduating high school students and transferring students are invited to take education to the next stage of their life. Students will get on-the-spot admission, academic advising, one-on-one financial aid counseling and Dusty Camp Orientation information sessions.

“Participants will be able to meet with expert college advisors and friendly staff as they journey towards their professional and academic goals,” Contreras said.

A Member of The Texas A&M University System, TAMIU provides nearly 7000 students with a learning environment anchored by the highest quality programs built on a solid academic foundation in the arts and sciences.

The University offers a range of baccalaureate and master’s programs and the Doctor of Philosophy degree in International Business.

“All University questions are welcome. Dustdevil Week is parent-friendly and we encourage all graduating high school seniors and transferring students to become a part of the proud Dustdevil Family,” Contreras said.
