Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) has been ranked the 6th Most Affordable Online Master's in Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) degree program by Top Education Degrees. The ranking was published on the organization's website this month.

The National Center for Education Statistics' College Navigator database was used to identify qualifying schools with online or distance learning advanced degree programs in curriculum and instruction. The 50 most
affordable schools were then selected and ranked based on annual tuition and fees.

“The C&I faculty had the wherewithal a few years ago to develop this program fully online. Moving to an online format allows working adults to obtain a master’s degree conveniently and with great flexibility, at a much lower tuition than other institutions; while maintaining a high level of quality.  Since its inception, students from Dallas, Houston, and Waco have enrolled in this program,” said Dr. Catheryn Weitman, Dean of the College of Education, "This ranking coincides with The Texas A&M University System’s focus on accessibility and affordability and affirms that what we're doing is definitely in the right direction."

TAMIU’s master of science (MS) in Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) degree program is available in two online options: Thesis or Non-Thesis. The College of Education offers the MS C&I degree for those wanting to become curricular leaders who impact diverse learners through coaching, assessment, and evaluation practices.

Typical course topics include Advanced Curriculum Issues in Education, Advanced Theories for Learning, Evaluation of Curriculum and Instruction, and Foundations of Educational Research. Once major requirements are satisfied, students may specialize in various areas of concentration. Read more about the program here:
