Start the New Year on a confident note by taking advantage of the latest seminar by the Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) Office of Continuing Education, “Leveraging Your Strengths for Optimal Job Performance.”

The presentation is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 27, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

General admission is $100 for person, $75 for TAMIU staff and faculty, and $65 for three or more participants, not necessarily from the same organization.

Participants will earn one continuing education credit (CEU).

Based on Tom Rath’s Strength Finder 2.0, the seminar will show participants how to discover their natural talents and learn to leverage them for optimal performance. It is also a fun and innovative staff development workshop. Participants will also receive a copy of the book, along with the access code to take the Strength Finder quiz.

The course will be presented by Arturo Flores, finance manager, University of Texas at Austin department of History. He received the 2014 President’s Award for Outstanding Staff, and is the holder of a business foundation certificate from the UT Red McCombs School of Business and Management Essentials Career Smart Certificate.

Flores hosts an annual staff retreat for his department that emphasizes team building, problem solving and professional development.
