TAMIU Graduate School Application Fee Waived June 2-5
If you’re planning to attend graduate school during the 2017-2018 academic year, now is the time to apply to Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) for free.
TAMIU is waving its application fee for potential students from Friday, June 2 - Monday, June 5. Thereafter, a fee of $35 for domestic and $50 for international students applies.
Rebecca Soto, associate director of the TAMIU Graduate School, said the Graduate School is waving its fee temporarily for students who wish to apply for a graduate program, and can appreciate the savings the fee waiver represents.
A few simple steps should be followed when applying, Soto said.
“First, students can visit the website www.applytexas.org and create an account, then complete the application and submit any supporting documentation to graduateadmissions@tamiu.edu,” Soto said.
Those returning to a University setting after a long time do not necessarily need to worry about seeing an academic advisor first before submitting their application, Soto noted.
“If a potential student has specific questions about a program, however, we can direct them to an advisor who can address those questions or in many instances, the staff at the Graduate School can assist with the very same questions,” she said.
TAMIU offers a total of 32 graduate program options, including professional certificates, Soto explained. A complete list of graduate programs is here.
The University currently offers six online graduate programs and most programs do not require a GRE exam, Soto observed. Also, flexible entry is available for certain graduate programs, thus allowing for flexible class scheduling.
According to the 2016 Student Success Ratings by Eduventures, TAMIU is ranked the nation’s top public master’s-level university when it comes to student retention.
