TAMIU Recital Features Pianist Reinhuber Oct. 5

Guest artist Dr. Joachim Reinhuber returns to Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) once again to perform a piano recital Thursday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the TAMIU Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) Recital Hall.

Minimum scholarship donation of $5 per person requested at the door. All students free.

Dr. Reinhuber, assistant professor of piano at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, was born in Frankfurt, Germany. His first teacher, Franz Calvelli-Adorno, was his grandfather, and he continued his studies, eventually earning a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance at The University of Texas at Austin.

He was member of the faculty of the City of Aschaffenburg Music School, Germany, teaching piano, chamber music and music theory for 14 years. He has performed all over Germany in recitals, chamber music and Lieder recitals. A live lecture recital with works by Adorno, Schoenberg and Brahms was recorded in 2005 by North German Radio in Bremen.
