Over 750 candidates for graduation are expected to participate in Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) Fall 2017 Commencement Exercise, Friday, December 15 at 4 p.m. at the Laredo Energy Arena (LEA).

Commencement Speaker for the event will be State Representative Richard Peña Raymond. Raymond was first elected to the Texas House of Representatives in January 2001 and has served in the House since. He holds a B.A. in Government from The University of Texas at Austin, and a J.D. from the UT School of Law.

The Student Respondent for the Commencement Ceremony is Andrea González de la Cruz, graduating magna cum laude with a 3.86 GPA and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, EC-12 from the College of Education.
