TAMIU Hosts Open House Wednesday for Prospective Students, Families

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) will host a Summer 2018 Open House on Wednesday, Aug. 8 in the Senator Judith Zaffirini Student Success Center for students and families interested in learning about the University.

The event is free and open to the public and is from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Rafael Contreras, TAMIU academic success coordinator, said the Open House is designed for prospective freshmen and transfer students as well as their families to learn more about the opportunities available at TAMIU. 

“At the Open House, we will offer prospective students on-spot admissions, financial aid, registration and information sessions,” Contreras said, “The event will take place at the Senator Judith Zaffirini Student Success Center, where the Enrollment and Financial Aid offices are located.” 

Contreras said he encourages everyone who wishes to pursue a college degree to attend the Open House.

“We look forward to meeting prospective students and their family members and are ready to direct them to the right resources so that they can get ready to attend the University in the Fall,” he said.

Fall registration is currently underway at TAMIU.

The first day of classes is Tuesday, Aug. 28. Final late registration day is Monday, Sept. 3.
