Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) offers one of the most affordable online master’s degrees in Criminal Justice in the nation, according to a new ranking by online source, Grad School Hub.

TAMIU ranked #7 among the Top 10 universities that provide the lowest-cost online master’s degree in Criminal Justice. See the full ranking at https://www.gradschoolhub.com/affordable/online/masters/law-enforcement/

Professionals are clamoring for more online master’s degrees in Law Enforcement to be made available, the site states.

“Many people speculate as to why an online degree in criminal justice is so attractive to professionals,” the site states, “Flexibility, affordability, and the fact that there are no residency requirements are just some of the many reasons working professionals prefer the online format.”

The site continues, “Employers are also finding that online degrees are just as high-quality as a traditional program, so the stigma is gone and professionals pursue these degrees with rigor.”

The new ranking was created using the National Center for Education Statistics and its College Navigator database, the site explains.

“From an initial pool of 40 schools, 10 were selected based on their affordable in-state graduate tuition rates,” the site states.

In TAMIU’s online program, students analyze crime issues in contemporary settings, given he practical constraints of the justice system. They also study current societal trends and their impact on legal systems including criminal justice agencies, criminal courts, juvenile courts, mental health courts and civil courts. Also, they examine biological, psychological, sociological and economic theories of crime. Students also compare criminal justice systems in the United States and selected countries from Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
