TAMIU’s Rec Sports Offers Second Summer Camp

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is offering its second Rec Sports Summer Camp for kids ages 5-13.

This session is offered July 8 – 25, Monday-Thursday, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. daily. Participants enjoy pre-planned activities administered by Camp counselors.

 Activities include Word of the Day and Hero Leadership discussions, recreational games, dance fitness activities, a visit to the TAMIU Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium, fine arts showcase, and life-time sport development.

Robert Garza, TAMIU director of Recreational Sports, said this year’s Camp theme is “Be a Hero.”

“Our goal is to help children develop social, physical and health-conscious attitudes in a positive and cooperative atmosphere,” he said, “We encourage parents to register their children and share the gift of a healthy and fun summer camp experience.”
