Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is excited to announce the first Grand Prize winner of the “Be A Champ, Get The Shot” campaign.

Karla L. Carreón, a senior double majoring in Psychology and Spanish, is the winner of free tuition for the Fall 2021 semester.

TAMIU’s “Be A Champ, Get The Shot” initiative aims to encourage its students to help end the COVID-19 Pandemic by being part of a safe and vaccinated campus community.

Currently enrolled students who have already submitted their vaccination information to the University’s “Be A Champ, Get The Shot” initiative, still have additional opportunities to win free tuition for the Fall 2021 semester, in addition to other prizes including Dusty Dollars and Gift Cards from the campus coffee shop.

The campaign is part of the University's participation in the National College COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge.

To participate in the drawings, students upload their proof of vaccination on a secure site.

Learn more by visiting https://go.tamiu.edu/beachamp.

Students who are unvaccinated are still able to participate in the drawings after providing proof of vaccination. Vaccinations are scheduled on campus through the end of October and delivered by the National Guard.
