The "undead" come alive during the first-ever 3K Zombie Run Saturday, Oct. 15, from 6 – 9 p.m. at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU).

The Zombie Run is free and open to the community. Individuals can sign up by visiting https://go.tamiu.edu/zombierun.

Check-in for the event begins at 5 p.m. outside the Kinesiology, Wellness and Recreation Center. Individuals will be able to participate in a warm-up stretch before beginning the race. Additionally, staff from the Airrosti Rehab Center, will be in attendance.

Prior to the race, participants will be given flags to tie around their waist. During the race, participants will need to outpace the zombies lurking throughout the race as they attempt to steal a participant’s flag. Individuals who finish the race wearing both flags are considered winners and survivors of the Zombie Run.

Participants may be eligible to receive a T-shirt while supplies last.

The event is made possible through TAMIU Rec Sports, which offers an array of services ranging from group fitness, personal training, intramurals and Esports.
