TAMIU ‘Beyond Online’ Options Include Possible Tuition Assistance

TAMIU Beyond Online

This Spring semester at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) students will have an opportunity to go “Beyond Online” with a new series of online courses designed to astound, entertain and intrigue.

Late Registration for the Spring Semester ends Monday, Jan. 23, 2023.

TAMIU Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Dr. Claudia San Miguel is championing the effort, dubbed TAMIU Beyond Online, and said it provides students and faculty with opportunities to engage in dynamic learning opportunities through seminar courses mining interesting topics not traditionally offered.

The three courses that will initiate the new TAMIU Beyond Online Series include ENG 3371, “The Magic of Harry Potter,” CRIJ 4340, “Serial Killers in Film,” and CRIJ 4324, “Media and Crime.”  There are no course prerequisites for these college-credit courses, but students must be enrolled for over 9 hours to qualify for the Series courses which must be part of their current semester schedule.

The new Class Plus Initiative can provide course cost assistance for students enrolled this Spring. To qualify for financial assistance, the addition of one of these classes must be to the student's currently existing schedule.
