TAMIU Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium Presents Exciting Shows

As the Fall semester unfolds, TAMIU's Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium is excited to present several shows and telescope observation opportunities for the public.

Upcoming Planetarium shows in September include: 

  • "Led Zeppelin" – Thursday, Sept. 28, from 3:30 - 4:15 p.m. at the Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium. 
  • "Extreme Weather"– Friday, Sept. 29. from 6:30 to 7:10 p.m. at the Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium. 

All events are $6 general admission, $4 children, $5 for seniors (65+).

All Planetarium shows provide an immersive, virtual reality (VR)-like experience under a 40-foot dome. They are presented in high resolution with frames reflecting a 4,096 pixels by 4,096 pixels resolution, spread out over the dome, under an impressive glass pyramid, said Davis.

The Planetarium regularly presents a wide variety of shows that range from biology and music entertainment to marine life, and much more.
